Alex McSweeney is an NYC based actor with a particular affinity for high energy characters, physical comedy, and stage combat.

In addition to The Adventures of Mighty Bug at The Center For Puppetry Arts, Alex was also found performing as (usually) Lysander in Shit-Faced Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream for nearly a year at various venues across Atlanta.
In 2016, Alex was also seen in The Essential Theatre's world premiere of When Things Are Lost by Derrick Dixon, in which he played Scottie/Patrick and served as Fight Choreographer. He was also in Serenbe Playhouse's critically acclaimed production of Chatlotte's Web, and Prelude to a Kiss at OnStage Atlanta.
In 2014, Alex was in two shows that were nominated for Suzi Bass Awards! The Wizard of Oz (The Tin Man) snagged nominations for Outstanding Theatre for Young Audiences Production and Best Performance for Cast, while Oklahoma! (Cord Elam/Jud u/s/Fight Captain) was nominated for 11 Suzis including Best Musical.
